This is just an FYI for all the new people starting out with reef tanks and for others who buy off the
The pic shows a coral eating bug. This is the same “bug” that I still can not positively ID.
I found this same coral eating “bug” in a favia coral that my LFS could not figure out why the favia was dying. Once I found it and removed the two of them the favia started to bounce back and re-grow.
This is the live pic from the seller and the next is the dead pic of the “bug” that I chased out with a fresh water dip mixed with blue solution.
Hope this helps people realize the potentially hazards hitchhikers that may come with your new coral.

Wow, that's pretty freaky!
That bug looks like it's actually "posing" in that coral saying "here I am! having a good 'ol time!"

i still have not ID it but they destroy the flesh real quick. Some poor reefer is going to bis on it win it and get this thing and watch his tank just get ruined.
