that sadly looks like the sea lion that was shot in the head by police in Mississippi by the casinos. The other sea lions were resued by Sea World.

That's sad... I wonder how many other sea creatures was killed in the storm.

I'm sure many. The few sea lions they showed on the news (before they were rescued) just looked completely exhausted and scared to death. Hopefully many did not suffer.

I have to admit that although it is sad that numerous animals probably were killed by the storm, its important to remember that its a part of a larger natural design. A sort of check and balance system implemented by monther nature.
Being shot though, now that is unfortunate . . . .

Well I guess I would have to agree with that... I guess it really depends on if something man created prevented them from returning to the ocean.

I talked to a guy that had been out billfishing last weekend and he was telling of all the debris out in the gulf of mexico. Whole roofs off of houses on down. Not counting all the dead land animals they encountered from horses and cows all the way to cats and dogs. I stayed at home through the storm and it is still unbelievable.

They claimed they were putting him out of his misery Funny, the other 3 went to sea world. A little hungry and thirsty, but OK.
He was minding his own business.......the press were giving him puddles of water.
