GOOD LUCK! Thats all I have to say. I have had 4 of them and they have all died. These star fish dont last long and are very hard keepers. I wouldnt buy another one. But like I said good luck!

Well, the purple has plenty of LR, But the blue needs more. Can I spot feed these guys like I do the green brittle?

You should be able to spot feed them with a piece of frozen krill/shrimp every now and then (ie. once a week).

My coworker has had his blue linka for over a year and spot feeds it all the time. I spot feed my red general, but that's a different star, and a completely different story. :) Maybe he just got lucky though. I know linka's typically don't have long survival records.

The blue took a piece of krill, and the purple took a piece of shrimp pellet! I'm going to get a couple more pieces of LR for the blue guy! They are a cool addition to the tanks, I want them to make it! :nervous:

I knew the Blue's are quite difficult to keep, but does this hold true with the reds' and the oranges?

DO NOT keep 2 blue linkia stars in the same tank.
They will secret a defensive secretion and literally 'melt' to death. In terms of feeding, they like meats. Krill works fine.

From personal experience, I've seen Blue Linkias eat almost everything.
At the local fish store, I witness a purple lobster take out a clown fish. 20 minutes later, a Blue Linkia was all over the dead body.
