Ok I have just gotten a sun coral after a long debate on getting it, like 2 weeks long. I have an aqua pod with pcs in it, the other corals are some xenia and zoas. I know the sun coral won't come out in the light and kinda have it under a land bridge right now. I was wondering if it should be out or stay there. Also should I wait for it to come out tp feed or try tp get it to feed when I'm feeding everything else.

I usually get a cup of my tank water and put the sun coral in there and then put either some DT and rotifers or cyclops and let em eat for about 15-20 mins every 3 or so days and then put him back in the tank..

I made a cave for it, should I leave it in there or just have it at the bottom of the tank?

I just bought a suncoral last month. I have mine right out in the open PC light, I have found that they do like some flow on them. You can also train them to be open during they day by feeding them everyday at the same time they will learn to be open then.
When you go to feed your fish they should start to open up with the food in the water, I then feed it just a bit after that.
If you have it in the cave it might be hard to feed it there.
They can stand being out in the open light so you don't have to put it in the cave.

Ok I probably will move it then...should I leave it on the sand or place it on a rock or it doesn't matter ?

I'm not an expert by any means but I'll tell you what I do with mine. I have my in a 29G tank with MH lights. I've had it in several different places in my tank. Have you seen the Koralia Nano powerheads? They have the suction cups with the magnets so that the suction and the magnet holds on each side of the glass. Well I took 2 of those and used superglue to glue my sun cups to one side of them. Now they can go anywhere against the glass in my tank and I can remove them easily without injuring them for feedings. I feed them often, at least every couple of days. I also feed them what I feed the rest of my tank, homemade fish food. Most of the time, I'll take them out of the tank, put them in a measuring cup with some tank water and feed them in there. I usually do this after I feed my tank so that they are ready and so that when I put them back in the tank the other animals don't climb over the sun corals to get their food. My sun cups are open more often than not. I bought them from saltwaterfish and got a combo of orange and yellow, very nice but nowhere near as beautiful as it is now. The lights don't seem to bother my sun cups, though I do keep them toward a corner but certainly not sheltered. I move my powerheads often and haven't had them get irritated because of flow.
With permission, I've kidnapped my friends sun cups and am slowly nursing them back to health. They aren't protected from the light or waterflow either and are looking much healthier. I've been feeding them when I see them out to encourage them to be out and open more often and I think it's working.

Very nice, they are beautiful. Interesting way you keep them too, thanks for posting that. They are sure one of my favorite corals now, I love the color of them. So far I have not had to take mine out to feed it. I have a 5 gal nano tank that has my shrimp in it along with other corals. I give the shrimp a bit of food first and then i feed the suncoral. I think the small tank and depth make it easy for me to feed it. I use a syringe and target each head, I have only had it since last month but sure love it. Here is a pic of it.
