Looking for a new skimmer...any ideas??

I have a sea clone skimmer on my 55 gal and have become increasingly frustrated with it. Basically I cannot tell that it has ever done anything except circulate water. I actually just took it apart and only have the pump working as a power head at this point. I am wondering what would be the best skimmer for my tank. Thanks for your advice in advance.

Excalibur HV1 or AquaC Remora Pro.

I am not familar with either one of those where would be the place to research them and purchase them?

Research, just search this site for those names and you will find a lot of info. As for purchassing, I got mine off an auction site. You can get them either online or in a store. Typically the stores will be more expensive...but I'd give them a call first, you never know what kind of sale is going on.

I just got a Excalibur HV-1 for my 55gal aquarium. So far its working great! I got mine at a LFS for $115 on sale. There are many online websites that have them for cheap too. I've also heard lots of good things about the aqua C remoro's too.

ACR's are the best in the market. I have a CPR Bak-Pak 2R+, I think it works great. But if money isn't an issue go for the aqua C remora.

I'm selling my old AquaC Remora skimmer in the classifieds section. Worked great for my 55-gal reef but is far short for what I need for my new 125 reef plus 40 sump.
