looking for a professional fish list.

i am looking to setup a fish list for my 75 gallon reef. i want it to be a 100% peaceful tank. i dont want any questionably reef safe fish. and i dont want them to be questionable to fit in this size tank. (no tangs please) all fish have to be 100% invert and reef safe. ive got about 80 lbs lr and 40 lbs ls. ive got a protein skimmer and powerheads to move water through sump.
i would like some who is very experienced at this hobby to give me a peaceful fish list for my tank... i would like lots of movement and color. but i would rather stay away from green chromis. right now i have 2 true percs and a bicolor blenny.
thanks

With those conditions, my list would be:
-Two percula clowns
-bicolor blenny
-diamond goby
-three PJ cardinals or three (dispar or squamipinnis) anthias
-fairy wrasse (I like the filament or lubbock's)
If you like the anthias, you would take out the PJ cardinals and maybe substitute them for one banggai cardinal instead.
That would give you a total of 8 to 9 very colorful, active, and peaceful fish.
Stay away from angels, basslets, pseudos, and damsels. They will cause much more trouble than they are worth.

With the clowns and blenny, I would consider a blackcap basslet or royal gramma. A small group of pajama cardinals (3-5) would be nice. A Scott's fairy wrasse would make a great centerpiece fish. In lieu of the Scott's, a trio of flasher wrasses would be nice (male and two females).
There are many other options, but this is one I'd consider to meet your wish list.

that list sounds good. i would like the dispar anthias... or woule lyretail work too? no cardinals please (i dont like them)
and do the anthias school together?
for the fairy wrasse i really want the christmas(ornate) wrasse. is that a good choice?
and ive heard that diamond gobies like to jump. is this true?
and what could i replace the cardinal with?
and can you mix fiary wrasses?
thankyou. and if anyone else has another good plan
, list, or thought let me know. thanks

I am starting a 75 gallon tank right now as well, almost identical setup, and I have the same desires for fish, only peaceful reef and invert safe fish, nothing questionable. I like that list of yours lion_crazz for sure. For a 75 gallon tank, what is the target # of fish? 8-9? Is 10 ok, or 12, or is that overstocked? If I took the 8 fish you listed, how would that affect the # of inverts or corals (lps) we could have in the tank? The inverts I have been looking at are:
3 Emerald Crabs
3 Porcelain Crabs
10 Hermit Crabs
10 Turbo Snails
1 Brittle Starfish
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1 Cleaner Clam
Something like that. Is that way overstocked? Are there any compatibility issues here?
Also, if the fish stock was something like this, would this work as well?
2 Percula Clowns
5 Green Chromis
1 Bicolor Blenny
1 Royal Gramma

The anthias add some nice color and movement. I listed both the dispar and lyretail (squammi's) because they are good aquarium specimens.
The christmas wrasse is a carnivorous wrasse that feeds on small inverts. That would cause a little concern if you wanted small inverts. It would be a "questionable" fish that you are looking to avoid. Stay strictly with the fairy wrasses. They are peaceful and easy to keep. They can be kept in groups, but it must be of the same species.
Diamond gobies like to jump at first, but once they settle in the aquarium, they are not a worry.
If you do not like the cardinal, how about a nice firefish? Purple firefish are very nice. Or, as a last and ninth fish, maybe do a helfrichi firefish as a nice centerpiece.

Target number of fish (such as the ones we are discussing) would be about 8 or 9. The fish I mentioned above would not affect inverts at all and would actually be a rather low bioload on the tank. The only real heavy eaters would be the anthias, since they need to be fed frequently. Everything else (besides the clowns) are light eaters. Diamond gobies find much of their food in the substrate, bicolor blennies, firefish and fairy wrasses are small, and thus have a small appetite.
Your invert list sounds fine, with the exception of the star. Since you are doing smaller fish, the star may be a predator in there. I would replace that star with a banded serpent starfish.
As far as your stocking list, that appears that it would work perfectly fine as well. I personally think you would be happier with a group of cardinals, anthias, or fairy wrasses(as opposed to chromis), however. It always seems that chromis just have a tendency to disappear, one by one.

About jumpers: any fish can be a jumper if startled by anything at all (a light going in the room in the middle of the night, for example), so some sort of protection (a lid, a canopy, etc.) is always a good idea. I once found a Valentini Puffer on my floor.

ok can you tell me some of the more colorful fairy wrasses. i think i would like a group of two or three. maybe three fiary wrasses and 2 anthias leaving me with 9 fish?
