Looking for Eggcrate in all the wrong places...

I keep going back to my local hardware store looking and asking for "eggcrate", and they look at my like I have 3 eyes frowing out of my forehead. Can anyone please tell me what the "official" term for it is... and what section it would most likely be found in? Thanks!

At Home Depot ect. its in the grid ceiling area it comes 2x4 and 2x2 ft

yep thats the stuff
I guess you want the white stuff because the chrome stuff is toxic. Its a pain to cut but im sure youll manage

Look in the lighting section. They use it to cover flourescent fixtures. It may also be with ceiling tiles (the drop-down kind)

You may get a better response from the store clerks if you were to refer to it as a light diffuser.
