looking for host anemone

This lonely girl wants to host something!
I have 96w 50/50 10,000K/actinic PC in 29 gallon w/10 gallon sump, total of about 1000 GPH water flow with SCWD closed loop wavemaker, aqua C remora HOT skimmer.
Could I keep any host anemones for this cute little true perc?
Look at her! She's lonely!

You are borderline low on lighting requirements for most anemones.
She most likely is a tank-raised fish. Tank raised fish (especially percs and ocellarius) will rarely (if ever) take to an anemone. Mine have completely ignored mine for years! Anemones are difficult creatures to maintain so think hard before getting one.
If you think she is lonely, then get her a boyfriend! They will definately pair up and play around. Much easier to keep, a sure bet they will pair up, and far less expensive.

Maybe you could look for an anemone substitute. My Ocellaris clowns like to use green star polyps for their host.

i also have a 29g and 96watts is not enough for an anemone. sorry to tell ya, but i was told the same thing once before. but i agree with the others, get some low light softies that the perc might host, like a frogspawn!

Don't you find a 30x to 34x turnover rate a bit excessive? You did say about 1000GPH for a 29 gallon tank?

I agree that your lighting is insufficiant for an hosting anemone.

Yeah, thats about 1300 GPH.
HMMM....
Never thought of it. is that too much flow?
