Looking for LED spotlight bulb for fuge

Recently I read a post about a Led Spotlight bulb that someone was using in their fuge. I couldn't find the thread and I was wondering if anyone knew which bulb it was.

That's right, I think it was a PAR38 or something like that. Is there a preference? I see a bunch of different ones on EBay.

I guess my next question would be what would be the difference from a $15-$20 Ebay bulb and a $120 bulb from one of the above mentioned suppliers?

I think its over kill for growing chaeto and those bulbs are epensive. A 5k bulb or even a plant grow bulb will be fine. A good article to read is in reefkeeping.com "Beyond the reugium: A macroalae primer"

I think the LEDs would be a better option vs the standard bulb due to the number of bulbs you'll go through, but surely don't think you'd need to spend $120 on a bulb....I'm pretty sure the ebay bulb would be more than capable at what your after......
