How do you like the phoenox 14k's? I was thinking in changing my 10k's out.

well there isn't much to see since a) my fish are in quarantine getting coppered for ich b) its a 30 to 100g transfer tank so needless to say there's lots of free space c) brain coral is still in sump as refuge from dwarf angel.d) it just hasn't been up very long
anyway 72L"x19"Hx18"D 100 gallon with black background and two 175 watt Aqualine 10000 13K bulbs. system is all sunlight supply. blue wave pulse start magnetic ballast and reef optix II reflectors. no supplement lighing yet (I love the color but flourescing corals still dont flouresce like they should without actinics. green/pink tipped frogspawn in particular looks drab compared to when under pc with actinics). and yes two bulbs cover my entire tank with no shadows (no center brace on my tank) there is a small V area dead center well above the big rock that doesn't get direct beamed but it isn't noticeable at all unless your looking for it.

hammer looks good still but frogspawn looks like crap without actinics as you can see. I put actinics on it temperarily and it was vibrant green like it was when I had pc.

and poor copper treated fish in 30gallon (96watt 6700/10k and 96watt 420nm/460nm power compact lol)

Ejensen...I won't change to anything else...these lights are by far my favorite.....I can care far less about growth as opposed to viewing pleasure...I take more indulgence when I can say "Damn that tank looks good" instad of holy crap I grew a half inch on my acro. :joy:
SeaSalt101... Take a closer look
Top right I have a blue jaw trigger.... behind my metallic brain in the far right is a gold stripe maroon, and the far left cave you will see closely behind the scenes is my 2' snow flake eel.. I also just added a falco hawkfish, and currently have a shy hamlet in a separate QT tank beefing him up on vitamins, garlic and a good variety of foods.
thanks again,
Nick
