I am trying to reseed my LR that also managed to die in the crash of my tank as they are as bare as can be. I am looking for a few pieces of well seeded LR to lay on top of them to begin to reseed them...I just bought a piece from the LFS for like 90 dollars and I felt the most ripped off EVER! If anyone has some rock they want to send my way I will pay for shipping of course or we can meet locally, I am in baltimore. phil@philipdepalo.com

What ever happened with the Solaris lights?
Sometimes LFS's will give a 'wholesale' discount if you order a box of LR through them. Just pick it up, still in box, at LFS on the day it arrives.....but it's a crap shoot as to what you get.
I think LR is a tough purchase too, it's hard to pay for ROCKS...even at $4/lb I feel like a moron.....It's tough to explain to a friend who doesn't have a tank---Hey, I just got a great deal on ROCKS...only $4/lb.....they think you're NUTS!

Solaris light has finally been replaced with working model. Woohoo...but I have no tank to put it on right now...just trying to reseed my LR. Also I will buy more LR once I am ready to put everything back. But for now I thought I could work on seeding the stuff while it just sits in my tub in the basement...
BellaNavis - You willing to ship if i paypal you some money or give you a UPS account number for shipping?

If your looking for well seeded, I would not ship, too much die off, but if thats the way you want to go, I guess I could do that, I am just not sure how much live stuff you would get.

Fair enough, that makes sense...if it were only a couple pieces could you just place the piece in a bag with some water? I don't know...lol

They saw you comming. That will be all you need to seed the rocks you have. Now all you need is time. In a year they will look great.
