I am thinking of adding a small Pink Tip Anemone to my 24g Nano. What are anyones thoughts on this...good or bad?? I have done plenty of reading and get mixed results. I do have some soft corals, a zoo, 2 clowns, a dotty, two pgymy gobies(very cool), hermits,3 shrimp...just to give a quick overview.
All comments welcome!!

I am not going to say that there is NO way you can do it because I truly don't know, but I would guess that there just isn't enough lighting in your nano for the PTBA to thrive. Also, in such a small space, an anemone can be deadly if it decides to let out some toxins.
I think it's a huge bummer, because most of us who have nanos - have clowns. Most who have clowns - want anemones for our clowns. It isn't fair!

Watson please clarify...you don't want your clowns in the pink or you don't want a pink in your nano?
I know the consensus on SWF is not to put annemes in the nano...

IMO pink tips and clowns have no symbiotic relationship..Not even sure if they come from the same ocean..If you look hard enough, I believe there are a few stories of anemones killing the clown..I do not however see why an anenome in a nano would be a problem

My bad....I read the post as Rose Bubble Tip, not Pink Tip. tiss, tiss on me for skimming a post.
Sorry NanoDude - Either way, not enough light IMO

Yes, I figured as much...it is a bummer because I used to have several anemones in my 150 Gallon years before moving to Manhattan(where some apartments are bigger than a 150!)and they were very cool. Thanks for the response.
Another question while I am on here...any advice on the opt temp for corals? I have a green polyps,a beautiful leather coral, tree coral and a blue mushroom frag. They all seem to be doing well, except the polyps do not open like they used too, they seem droopy.
Thanks!
