I really feel bad for folks in this hobby that trust the lfs. There is probably a few out there that would tell you it is okay to keep a shark in a 125. So you trust them bring it home and it dies rom stress.
I have zero respect for someone that would keep one of these animals in too samll a tank with the knowlege of the minimum requriements.
That being said...I am of to the LFS as I have an extra coke can that I am going to convert to a shark tank.

I didn't even realize that. I was so disgusted about wanting two sharks in a 120 I was blinded by rage. Wow is all I have to say.

Man, I completely missed this. It's kind of like ignoring the skunk you have in your house because you are focusing on the elephant.

i sense that many people dont like each other on this site so i might as be another one you guys could hate but heres my .02 cents... We were all in a newbie position once and you cant say that you werent, people come on here to ask questions,,,yes they are very dumb and sometimes you ask yourself if these people are serioud or not?? but the point is noone needs to be flamed just educated.. i know it gets relentless having to say that you cannot keep a shark in anything less than a 180, but some people dont want to do research they want an answer quick,, you guys get way too upset over nothing, when you can just tell them AGAIN( evan though its annoying) that they cannot have a shark....But what upsets me the most is someone like me( and many others) who has done months of research to get my setup right and has read every single post ont his whole forum at least twice ....when i post questions people wont answer me,,,evan though im building my 300 gallon tank( pics step,by step will be up tomm.) and you may say well if you read that much you should know,, but i like to get at least 7 or 8 opinions before im going to jump into anything... It just seems like theres little packs on this forum,,,and you guys only answer those people in the "in club" and that sucks because alot of you guys are very educated about these animals and im learning more and more everyday because its a great site in general and you guys are very helpfull...but remember every forum no matter what kind it is will have these people asking dumb questions,,,so instead of getting mad, hitting your head off the wall, or jumping to your death,,,,just relax and remember a forum is for people to learn from people that know
try not to hate me.....

Hey man, You are right, we went too far, all in the name of fun, but it was still wrong. If you will forgive me I will do what I can to help you out, if you still want our help. Yes we have all made dumb mistakes, and often still do. We love these animals, and get frustrated when people do not do there homework before they decide to get one. You were not one of those people as I believe you were asking a legit question. As the post started before we went over board, your tank is too small for any type shark. I hope you will forgive us and become a vital part of the SWF.com message board community.
Sincerely,
Aquaman, AKA Bob.

I am sorry to you to, and you can become a part of my "click" even though I am not in one. Just an observation, it does not really matter how much you know at times, but what the # of posts you have made under your avatar that count. Not to everyone, but it is the quickest way to tell. I do not post much and at times wont post for months, then will post a lot. I have been on this board for almost 3 years and people here for less than 6 months at times have posted more. This is seen by some as more experience, but it really is experience at posting, not knowledge of fish. Again, I am sorry; I hope you too will forgive me.

listen i think this forum is awesome,, as i said i learned soo much on here its amazing, and the reason i came here is for that reason exactly, you guys all have a great deal of knowlege on these animals that i hope you can share with me, and i really look forward to bieng around here alot. I cant wait to post my pics and show you guys my own custom setup i think everyone will really like it and be a little bit impresed that i actually built it.. so theres no hard feelings towards anyone, i just think flame wars are a watse of all of our time...were all communtiy that has a few things in common WE LOVE ANIMALS and thats the best part

Gee...I thought most of the posts were humorous and actualy no harm intended. I am glad you will not be putting sharks in your 90 tank.

Like I said...I have no respect for someone that would put a shark in a small tank after being told it would not work and the animal would die. Kudos to you for not being one of the folks that would do this. :D
