Hi everyone,
I am looking to start up a shark tank with a 180 gal tank. Any recommendations/suggestions as to which shark would be appropiate if any?

Well, that's true...but the problem is people plan to upgrade then, when the time comes, don't. Dead shark.
If you absolutely, positively HAVE to get a shark and all you can afford right now is a 180, wait a few months and save your money until you can afford a tank large enough to give it a permanant home. You're going to have to buy the BIG tank sooner or later.

Pete, I'm certainly no expert...but IMO not less than 300 gallons for even a small species.
I've thought alot about it and I'm absolutely against people keeping sharks. I have to admit, I'm starting to lean toward the position that we shouldn't be keeping fish at all. Sure, they're beautiful, but you're taking a living creature out of it's environment and putting it into a cage for no reason other than you're own amusement.
Regardless, I view sharks as a higher species. If you want to capture a shark and keep it on display, please at least give it the courtesy of a decent home.

No sharks! Wait till lionfish comes back, you guys are gonna get an earful. But the fact still stands no shark in under a 300 gal tank.
