Fishiness, about what you about the shrimp, I have tried that too....didn't work. And about the overflow having to hole i just dont know what to put in the second hole when the first on is already connected to the wetdry, its almost like theres gotta be another slot in the wetdry for it. And about the return pump, the lfs said i need to drill a hole in a pvc pipe so that it will suck out the air and wont overflow, he confused me BIG time about that.
The wet dry has a single intake on the top. You can either drill another hole on the top.....or run the hoses to a tee.
You can run a hose from the pump to a piece of pvc or spray bar. You do not need to run all pvc but it can be done that way.

Lions simply like live food. Keep supplying hin with live food. Take a frozen silver side and place it on a feeding stick. Wiggle it in front of him so he thinks it is alive. Keep trying...it takes time.

Is your lion eating live ghost shrimp?
If so, I'd get some and mix them with thawed krill and dump them in. Do this a couple times and your lion will eventually go for the krill.

cartman, you need to carefully type out a post and tell us about your system. Size, filters, age, test levels, ect, ect, ect. And tell us about the Lion. When did you get it, foods you tried, how it acts, swims or hides, whats in with it, bla, bla, bla.
People want to help, but you cant just ask " why want my lion eat " and expect people to give you a magic answer.

Jcrim, I had that idea to, keep the frozen krill in with some frozen ghost shrimp right? Didn't work. Yes, I do have live ghost shrimp. But when i went to feed my lion today a silver side he attcked and took a bite but didn't eat it, after that he just turned away from them. Dogstar, I have a 125gal tank with live rock at both ends of the tank, filters are a turboflotor skimmer, emporer 400 and 2 maxi-jet powerheads. The tank has been established for about 6 1/2 months. Test level are Nitrate- (10) ammonia- (0) Nitrite-(0)
pH-(8.2).
I got the lion on the 24th of december. He's a volitan lion and about 4-5in body length. His tankmates are a 4'' Niger trigger, 2-3''damsel, and a 12'' goldentail eel. The foods I have tried are squid, silversides, krill, gulf shrimp, mysis, and ghostshrimp. He will go crazy when I walk in my room, almost like he's saying "feed me now!" and when i give him the frozen food he will put his fins out and stare at the food (He makes a pose like he's going to eat the frozen any second) but then he will turn away and go to the rocks or the sand to lay down. I will wiggle the food just slightly and make the food look like it swimming and eating of the rocks, when the lion sees the food again he will go after it but then he will turn away. He swims like a normal lionfish. I have been starving him since last thursday. Today I gave him a dead ghost shrimp (not frozen) and he ate it, then i gave him a silver side and he attacked it but never ate it. Also, I have been soaking the foods in garlic Guard.
Now does that help? Do you want me to tell you the ways how I have been feeding him?

If you have nothing nice to say then why bother?? You know its kind of hard to type questions while you are stressed out and confused about certain probelms. So next time think before you post.

If he'll eat dead ghost shrimp, why not just get a bunch of those suckers... freeze them up then thaw as needed. Eventually it will start eating other things.

I did, but he wont eat it frozen. I just took a ghost shrimp that was live and stabbed him on the feeding stick, pulled him off, and dropped the shrimp into the tank. Took awhile before he ate it but he ate it. BTW, I know that some people on the boards that were confused about what that dude is in your avatar......isn't he the hunchback of notre dame?

Say what you want, I still got you to use punctuation and post in a way that we can read what you're trying to say.
Try feeding your Lions, ghost shrimp. Thats what I used to feed mine and they loved them.

Do you all think he will take frozen foods? Somehow I think I'm just going to have to start breeding ghost shrimp.

I would just be patient and keep feeding him ghost shrimp until he accepts frozen food. A volitan will definitely take frozen food after a while. It took my volitan a month or two, and for that time, I just kept a tank of ghost shrimp on hand so that I had food for him. It's not very hard. Eventually he will be more comfortable with you and will want more filling food.
