looks like the big weekend

Ok I think this weekend we will be getting the 150 or bigger. Question, This will be a fish only with some LR and will probly go with a plenum and 3in of live sand, I know this will not be enough LR for the bio load, will I have to go with sump? I am kinda looking that way, so I can put skimmer and heater in there, and also some macro algea in there. I like to make things myself and this could be a DIY, or is there any easy sumps out there and what size should it be for a 150-240 gallon, thanks. :)

Thanks , The 150 we are looking at has an incredible amount of room underneath, they are suposed to get in a larger tank thats why we are waiting till this weekend, the 150 will be great but would like larger one, have to do this setup quick , new we were going to get bigger tank this summer, but found out I might have to have surgery again and would like to set it up before that day, I could be down for awhile. Once its up the wife can take care of it from there, . Our reef tank is a 72 bow and limited space, have small cannisters for large particles, and the other side I have a 10 gallon tank setup for goldfish treats, for , trigger, and snowflake. :)

Great news about the new tank. Bad news about the surgery. Gl in advance. I'm good right now as far as my arm. Go back in 2 weeks and have it looked at and the plate comes out in Sept.

Fixit, I was looking at getting a 125 next year and I am planning on using a 20 gal tall tank for the sump, I was going to try and make it myself but I have heard some stories about the adhesive not staying together, so I am going to use the 20 gal and I will put a divider in it to run the media.
Also you can check on the on-line auction sites to find an overflow (I saw a couple on e-***)

So am I, getting EXCITED I mean. Update our new sump should be here TODAY!! I just tracked it, and it showed that it was checked in, in Port Huron at about 6:30am. Can't wait to get going with it, only have to figure out where to put the new tank. Thought about in the dinning room, but planning on putting in hard wood floors soon, I don't like the idea of moving the tank. Will probaly arange the family room to put it in there, I like that idea better. Lisa :D :D :D :D

UPDATE: Well we're bumbed! We went to buy the 150 gal we've been looking at for 6+ months and guess what, someone bought it 2 days ago....Oh well, we believe everything happens for a reason, and guess what there was a very good one, we took my parents out to dinner for thier annv. in Canada and found a really cool pet store. (it was closed when we got there) went back today and ordered a 200gal. Tank and stand less then the price we we're gonna pay for the 150. Canada's exchange rate is 52 cents on the dollar right now. Needless to say we got a Oceananic(not sure if spelled wright) for half the price. Greaat deal!! Should be in by next weekend. Also got a general star(just put pic on web page) canadian price $44.00 got him for $22.00.What a deal! Sump came Friday, we we're really bumed out on Sat. and extremely happy on Sunday! Lisa :D
