It pissed me off. There is a ton of work and waaaay more than my freshwater tank, but then again my fw wasn't anything special in any way. Now that I am almost 100% done setting up it all I still think it's a pain in the ass all that is involved but when you sit back and check it out it's just straight awesome the size of my tank (125) and the fish that are in it. If I had to do it again I might just buy an established tank but building it all myself it is exactly the way I want it and no regrets.
Still have some final touches to do on the canopy or I'd provide pics.
when you get it up post some pics i bet it look awesome

nope..like remove water and and new saltwater....syphon it out and add it back from clean saltwater that you have "made" in a bucket, trashcan, anything with a powerhead and maybe a heater...dont want to pour 52 degree water into a 78 degree tank

That being said, if you fail to do the little things a SA can go bad very quickly and fixing it often takes a lot of time.
when you top it off can you use frshwater or do you need the same slainity.

Turning Tim gave me a compliment on the base, and he's a carpenter. The canopy will look real nice. Just need to finish the paint and I'm lazy. That and it's an oil based paint so it takes forever.
Get two rubber maid bins, syphon water out of one and syphon in the new water from the other bin. I have a small powerhead and a cheap heater from walmart.
