Lost my second bangaii...

My hb called me at work today and told me that Gracie was acting just the same as George, only she was lying on the bottom of the tank. I told him to turn the lights off and see what she does. She swam a little bit, but started doing the same thing. By the time I got home, he told me that she had died and he took her out of the tank...poor little Gracie.
I find it kind of interesting though that we visited the fish shop where we purchased those 2 fish and the 3rd cardinal was already gone, when mine were still out and about. They lived longer in my tank than they did in theirs...hmmmm...I won't be going with cardinals again any time soon.
It seems that I have room for 2 fish again...I would really like to get a yellow clown goby (are they good eaters?), but not sure what else. If I can't find fish that can keep up with my clowns and angel as far as eating goes, then I guess I'll leave it at that and start adding the corals that I'm capable of.
Suggestions welcome.

Mister T,
Actually the pj cardinals were my first choice for cardinals. I really think they're cute and would do well in my tank (37gal). But after this, I don't know. I really think that I need fish that can compete well for food and get along with my other inhabitants. Any idea on the how the clown goby would do? Like I said, if I need to stay at 3 fish, that's fine, then it's time for corals!!!

Thanks Puffer,
I was a little bummed, but to be honest those cardinals were not right from the get-go. I know that they're nocturnal and hover while lights are on, but these hovered in one place 24-7. I tried everything that I could think of, but I think they were sick right from the start. Especially when I visited the shop I bought them from a few days after purchasing them, and the last one they had was gone. That's why I thought that it was interesting that they lived longer in my tank than in theirs...hmmmm. Won't consider that shop anymore.

I am sure you didn't do anything wrong, sometimes we just buy sick fish, very disheartning, good luck with whatever you choose next!

Lisa, sorry to hear about both of your losses. Maybe go coral shopping for the time being and take your time deciding on a third fish. What about a bicolor blenny? Good luck with what ever you choose, glad that everyone else is doing well!

Clown gobys if your talking about the little ones, don't get too big, and therefore arent that easy to feed. Sorry to hear about your cardinals and good luck!! Cardinals are kinda boring anyways :)

Fishmamma,
I was just thinking about you this evening, wondering how things were going with you. Yeah, that whole cardinal experience was not a good one. The fish, right from the get-go were very, VERY boring, but I never thought that it was because they weren't healthy. I still feel bad that this happened to them.
I'm just not sure what to go with for my next fish...feeling a little gun-shy right now, so I'll take my time with it. I really, REALLY wish I could put a flame angel in there, but I know that with Sister Mary Angelica (my coral beauty angel), it would never work. I'll keep looking and watching though, I'm sure something will come up for me. I will definitely look into a bicolor blenny (are they jumpers?). What do you think/know about clown gobies? I'm kinda looking into the citron/yellow clown goby.
So, how is your tank life treating you? I seem to remember you had some problems a little while back, I hope those are resolved.
Fishman,
As stated above, yeah, those cardinals were very boring. It was my understanding that they would hover until the lights went off...mine hovered (yeah, in one place) 24-7. I don't think that's right either. I was sure that they would be a nice addtion to my tank...oh well.
