they burrow under the sand, throw a little food in when feeding and i bet her will come flying out. Mine do at least. I usually only see them when feeding mygoby

As a rule of thumb don't go looking for missing livestock, you will cause more problems than what a large decomposing fish will cause. I wouldn't worry about looking anything in your cleanup crew, if a fish goes missing just test your water to check for a ammonia or nitrate spike and do water changes accordingly. A Properly sized cleanup crew should take care of anything dead in your tank in a day or so.
