Lots of Bubbles

Hey Guys,
I just bought a Teklight T-5 fixture (6 bulbs), and since I replaced my old unit I’ve been getting lots of air bubbles. I mean a lot…. I tried cleaning my skimmer and powerheads, but have had no success as of yet. I did call the store and the answer I got was “ Lights won’t cause bubbles”…so I guess I’m seeing things. Has anyone encountered this problem before?? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Tks

Is it possible that these lights are so good that now you can see your bubbles? There is no way that a light will cause bubbles I agree with that. Have you checked your pumps and or powerheads?

earlybird... I don't think this is the case.... because the problem in not seeing the bubbles. The problem is that they have covered all glass and my rocks. I am a bit worried that the air bubble can harm my corals.

maybe the new lighting has spured a small algae burst, they will give off a lot of bubbles, is the tank bubble free when the lights first come on or a few hours after the lights go off.. ??? my bet is a small algae burst. :notsure:

you can try to limit the lighting time a little just to get the tank used to the new lighting, but other than that , wait, wait, wait, It will finnaly pass and you will be back up to full lighting time in a couple weeks. I've got the same thing happening now, I just installed 2 more 400 watt halides and now have a
small algae burst. But hey it will pass.
