Lots Of Deaths!

What are some creatures that you would not normally see during the day that will kill fish. I have a 75 with 50 lbs of lr and 5" dsb. I keep haveing fish come up dead with no reason what so ever. The yellow tang that has been in there after the cycle completed (4 months ago). All the fish were small clowns, diamond goby, damsel, bicolor angel that have just up and died. I have never had more than 2 fish at a time in there.
I know you have heard the "my water is perfect" a million times, but I swear it is. My lr is doing great and the mexican turbos are doing great. My lfs (2 different ones) have confirmed my water several times because I was sure I had a bad test kit of some kind, but alas no.
I have tried looking with a red light at night, and used the night vision on my video camera and see nothing at all. I have never seen any of these fish exibiting any signs of stress at all!

As a matter of fact I have bought new food. Never never stick my arm in the tank if I have any doubt that I may not be safe to do so. I switched soaps that I use before going into the tank. I now use a "camping soap". Very enviro friendly, no phosphates, dyes, perfumes at all in it. I had used a little dishwashing liquid before, just because it rinsed off best. I am at a total loss
I am gonna invite my lfs guy up to my house and let him look around a bit. I hope a fresh set of eyes will spot anything that I am doing wrong.
I just asked here because I have heard of various creatures that can come in on lr that are killers!

Well my friend you may have become a victim of a Mantis shrimp. If I remember correctly a Mantis shrimp are born from eggs, and sometimes the egg is on the live rock. Eventually it will hatch and start a reign of distruction. Upon researching these creatures, it it said that they have the force of a 22 Calibur Bullet, and could be an explanation for your fish deaths. Although I could be wrong but it could be a possibility. Have you heard and strange clicking noises in your tank? If thats the case watch out, and get a Mantis Shrimp Trap Immedietly. These guys aren't the nicest critters, and if that is the case don't stick your fingers in the tank, b/c these buggers are said to be able to shatter your finger, with their hammer or sicle like claws. Good Luck.

The yellow tang has been there the whole time during all the killings? could it be the tang? if you added fish after the tang, the tang may be mad and is killing off the others... just a though since he's the only one still there.
our clown killed damsels, goby, tang...
what do the dead fish look like? like the just died or as if someone was eating them?

I was thinking "Mantis Shrimp" the whole time I was reading this, then BattleCat said it. However, more needs to be known about what they looked like after their deaths, aka, gash in the head, no fins, etc. Try this site to see if it helps:Stomatopods

Well to be honest I did not really bother to look at the first ones much. I just wanted to get them out and not let the kids see them. The last one was a fish that was gone for about 3 days I would say. My goby didnt come out much and well when I found him in my filter he had been there 3 days I would say. So I have to do some research on this
