I have done the low and the high range on the nitrate test and I get different readings on each. Which range should be used? When I use the high range my water test 100 Nitrate and low range 5. This is with the Salifert test kit. I can't believe my nitrates would be a the level of 100. Nothing in the tank indicates that I have this high of a nitrate level. I have a 75 gal that has 4 fish and the rest is live rock and all types corals, anemones & etc. I can usually tell if something is wrong by looking at the corals & fish. I also use a Turbo Berline skimmer (250 gal) and no filters.
I am new to the Salifert test kit for Nitrates and my nitrates have never been this high.
