how much light do you have? Condys, but I think they are a pain because they move around and sting everything in thier way IMO> Mine has grown to mammoth proportions, and he's going to the zoo.

As a poor measure of light you should have at the very least 4+ watts per gallon of VHO or PC lighting for BTA's or Condy's

just to let you know i've had 5.6 watt per gallon of PCs and my condi only srtuggled for 2 months. then he died. so its not really a good idea about the anemone at all!

I'd have to disagree. They do need halide lighting to thrive, they can live under other lighting. (Under certain circumstances they might thrive, but as a general rule...no.)

I have had one under pc for a long time and it even split imo its not just your lights but how good you keep your water..

aiptasia, mojono, but I guess that wasn't what you meant huh?
I think a condy is the anemone that needs lowest lighting, IMO.
Exactly, how low are we talkin' here??

IMO you should have any anenomes becaus there mortality rate is very very bad in home aquariums and the dont die in the wild so they should all be left on the reef. :D

I have to disagree. They can be kept in the aquarium quite easily ONCE you have a stable tank and understand how to keep your water parameters steady, and have proper lighting. It is the newbies that take advice from LFS etc and put an anemone in a 1 month old tank with florescent lighting that have the problems.

Wise choice. Its great you asked before taking the plunge. To many buy on impulse and learn the hard way (not that I never did that  )
