lowering nitrates...how long to impact?

Well I managed to make somewhat of a section in my sump where my return pump sits with a glass and eggcrate to hold in place create a fuge area.
my current nitrates are at 20ppm and my current stock in my 90:
blue throat trigger
sfe
maroon clown
falco hawkfish
my question is I created this section about a couple days ago and would like to know how long would it take for me to see any difference in nitrates decreasing if so? I have LR along with a handful of chaeto in the fuge.
I have a euro reef cs6-2+ rated for 125-150 gallon system...and they are underrated so I know I have enough skimmer for the system.
110-120 lbs of LR
60-70 lbs LS
fish are fed daily, eel every 3 days. water changes are done every 3 weeks at about 15%.
TIA,
Nick

Increasing your water changes for a while would give you faster results on decreasing the nitrate level. When the chaeto starts to grow it will start using up the nitrates it needs... let it grow and fill in... then you can start harvest it, as needed.
After the refuge gets establish and you are able to harvest the chaeto on a regular bases, you should start seeing a difference in the nitrate build up that you normal would have between water changes.
