How do you lower pH in a tank?
I've got a 29 gal reef and params are:
amm = 0
trite = 0
trate = <10
phate = 0
calc = 400 - 450
pH = 8.8 - 9.0
Stock: RBTA
mushrooms
frogspawn
torch
smith's blenny
CUC - cleaner shrimp, SS star, red leg hermit, snails
Any help would be appreciated, the last time I tried to ask a simple question, lots of people look, but no one posted.

to reduce your ph it will require water changes. but please have your water retested before you begin this as it is a issue if you swing your ph too fast.

I was thinking that was it.
The test kit is about year old, API drop kit, not the strips.
Your lfs should be able to "test" your test kit. They do go bad with time. With a very unusual reading on anything; I always suspect the test kit or source water first.
