Thought it would be informative to do an experiment and see how long it takes to cure 100lb of LR. LR arrived a few days ago and has been soaking in the plastic tub. It was shipped "Semi-Cured" whatever that means
.
.
I used a soaking process of leaving LR in SW for 3 days, changed the water, let it soak for another day, then scrubed it clean with a plastic brush and scraped off all bio-matter, then rinsed it in clean SW and then into the kiddie pool. As you can see from the plastic scrubbing tub, the LR was filthy. I'll track water quality and psot updates from time to time.
My next project is to take my wet tile saw and cutup a chunk of LR to see whats inside  . I'm going to try and do them in 1/4" thick slabs so you can see the veins and stuff inside the LR and post a series of photos.
Some of chunks are HUGE one of them is almost 18" long, most are about 12-14" and fairly flat
