LR is popping out goodies!

Some of the "older" LR in my tank has some TINY feather dusters popping out! Some have white "feathers" ONE is PURPLE!:eek:
My tank has three weeks of cycling under its belt (although my pH is low). So, what do I do to ensure these cool fellas live?
Also, I'm noticing my aragonite is getting off-white colored near the base of the LR and I have a fair amount of crab "poo", Should I get something to eat this stuff yet?

There' not a lot (if anything) you need to do with feather dusters, just leave them to it. If they can survive a cycling tank they wil do fine.
The brownish colour on sand wil be Diatoms - try a search on this board for more info.
I didn't know crab poop was noticeable! (is that a word?).
