LR question

I wanna cure my live rock in my tanc witch is not set up yet.Do I put the live rock on the bare bottom glass w/ no sand and cure it?

Go ahead and put your dry dead sand in the tank along with your LR, then the tank and sand will all cycle and get your good bacteria going, then you can add LS if you choose (not totally necessary if you have good LR with lots of life)

I dont get what ur saying...U want me to put dead sand and LR at the same time?Will my sand become live?

Yes :yes: All the wormies and pods and bacteria from your LR will seed the dry sand, after you finish cycling if you still feel you need more life in your sand you can buy some LS (just get the real thing, not the packaged stuff)

I'd suggest not putting the rock directly on the bare tank bottom, though. I'd get a piece of lighting eggcrate at your local hardware store, cut it to fit, and put the rock on that. Then add the sand around so it helps "embed" the rock. This will help you get a stable rock structure and reduce the risk of cracking the tank glass if anything falls.
