The name of the live rock indicates where the live rock is from. Yes you can put different kinds in the same tank.

For me, I am really looking at the uniqueness, growth, density, and surface area. I think good live rock needs to be pourous and not totally solid. I think fiji looks the best.

A lot of fiji is very dense.
