lr question

If I take a piece of lr out of my water to transfer to a bucket of sw will that affect the bacteria on it? or will it be fine. This wont cause a mass die off of the live on my rock will it? I plan to put it bak in my tank but I need to do this.

If you are talking about days, yes, it will die off. If you are talking about minutes and the rock is wet, nothing bad will happen.
Most "pre-cured" live rock comes wrapped in wet newspaper or the like. Pulling a rock out of your tank and putting it in another bucket or tank will not do anything bad.

agree it wont effect the lr if you want place it with some tank water
