LR supposed to be pink?

I was moving some LR from my established 55 to my new 58, and a piece broke a little, revealing the pink inside of the rock.
:notsure: pink? Is that normal?

It just means that it's a little more on the rare side. Throw it on the grill for about 5 minutes then check it again....
Sorry, couldn't help it. I'm not sure if that is anything to worry about. I'm sure there are very few of us that intentionally break a piece of LR to see what it looks like on the inside. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but maybe someone else could shed some light on this.

I believe that live rock isn't actually rock but a build up of dead coral skeletons and such that has grow and died. and after may , may years of this it becomes like a rock. So something that has grow to make this peice of rock may have been this color. Well I may just be full of it also.......anyone?

It was definitely soft! It basically started to crumble in my fingers. You think it was sponge? Hmmm... It looks like rock on the outside, though.
