LR types general question

what do you guys prefer for reef tanks...LR with all of the plants etc on it (more like Gulf Rock) or LR with just the purple coraline on it, curious what most of you guys use for your reefs...

something in between of course...pretty coraline rock, but w/ a freebie coral or 2 and maybe occasional crab, not to mention various other miscellaneous hitch hikers bio diversity is great

i have almost evry kind of lr possible but if u want plants than get gulf/indonesian if u want critters get figi and marshall.

i have heard that the "gulf rock" with all the stuff growing on it can cause a bigger amonia spike bc there is nore growing on it...any other opinions about which is better???????????
