the easiest way to tell if liverock is uncured is to smell it. if it reeks like dead fish or the ocean in general, chances are it's not cured. if it's not cured, it will spike your levels, (ammonia), and possibly cause another cycle. many people use uncured liverock to cycle tanks, instead of damsels. pick it up out of the water and smell it. if it stinks, it's not cured. if it doesn't, it's cured. if you order liverock and have it shipped to you, it will need to be recured, even if they say it's cured. the day or two in a bag without circulation or light causes die off. How do you cure it, do you wash it down with regular water.
If some live rock was in tap water for a week did that ruin the LR for ever.
Is there any products that are good for live rock. Like any KENTS.
What do damshels do, I have a bunch of them, and they appear to be the ones that never died, the terminaters of the tank, they're fast.
And is there anyway to revibe the LR, lets say get it to grow algae and stuff like that, or throw it back in the ocean, would it get better..

Question..i got some mushroom about 4 days ago and it was nice in the bag,i got home with it and it went deep purple and all closed up..it has opened a little but is now purple in the mid and light green on the edges but is opened a little.....what happened to it?
