I picked up some cured live rock today, ordered thru my lfs. The guy at the lfs told me it would be ok to go ahead and put in my tank without curing due to it being already cured. Is this true or is there something more I should do before adding?

Did the lfs rinse the rock vigorously when you picked it up? You must smell it and examine it very carefully if you are adding it to an already established (cycled) tank. It should be very clean and smell like clean ocean, not like low tide.

also he can say its cured, but if it hasnt been in that store in a tank for a minimum of 2 weeks.. sorry to say its not cured, and dont add it to your tank.. here is a cool thread about LR i suggest taking a look at it...
