I put live rock in my tank in my initial cycle tank has been up and running for 5 months(with fish). About week and a half ago switched over to sand(not live) from CC. Siphoned out water and put LR and fish in temp tank until water was clear(24hrs). Then put fish and LR back in. The problem is some of LR has a brown tinge to it...died i kill it? If i did what should i do. Initially Nitrates where a high about 60, so was salinity (1.25-1.26), but within a day all water test were good again, actually my nitrates are still at 35.
