Yeah I just hope I can find another chocolate chip starfish with the same colorings as the one I lost. He was very pretty. I'm just glad I didn't lose the trigger or the clown. Now I'm thinking about getting a Lemon Peel Angel instead of another Coral Beauty after what I have heard about the Coral Beauties. Are the Lemon Peels easier to keep than the Coral Beauties? The filter is still not operational and the impeller won't come out. I have tried to pull it out but it's not budging. I don't know about the warranty. I think it came with the tank which my parents bought for me and I doubt they would do anything about it since I broke it. I'll just buy a new one. What should I do about the show tank? Since it has several things burried under 3-4 inches of sand should I take it apart and start over?

my first question is, what is steering you away from the coral beauty? you could have more luck keeping a lemon peel, but i wouldn't count on it. coral beauties don't require extensive care, as far as angels go. i kept one for a short time in a 29 gal. and my bro and a couple of friends have kept coral beauties and i haven't seen any problems so far. i haven't had any experience with lemon peels, but i think they are pretty easy to care for too, as far as angels go.
it's a bummer about the bio wheel. do you still have the bio wheels, and what are you doing with them?
i would try to sift through the sand for them, but i wouldn't take the tank apart again unless you have to. that's my opinion anyway

The reason I might stay away from the Coral Beauties is because most people on here say they are one of the hardest dwarf angels to keep alive. Well them and the Flame Angel. Although I had really good luck with mine until I decided to mess with my tank. Not really sure right now what I am going to do, still kinds trying to decide which one I want. Yes I still have my bio wheels, not sure what I am going to do with them though. Why?

well, my experience with the coral beauties is exactly the opposite. if you just took out your bio wheels and kept them dry then all of the beneficial bacteria living on it is now dead. i definitely wouldn't get another fish, especially another angel, till you get all this fixed

If you used playsand the snails can dig their way out of 6" of sand. I accidently buried some snails, hermits and even serpent stars but they all emerged from the sand.
