I am setting up my 125gal reef. I need to know about how much sand I will need in depth and approx. lbs.

I would suggest a 4 to 5 inch sand bed, in my 90 it took about 180lbs of live sand to acheive it. I would think if you tank is longer then 48" you will need about 240 or so. Good Luck!

yea i would like to kno too. im pricing out my 72G Bow front i wanna buy.
im also guessining 168lbs of live rock total for the 72 and refugium together.. sound decent.
if you guys find the ls formula let me kno. i want a 72g reef bow front. i need like 5"sb

Yes, this tank is a standard 125gal. I am trying to find SouthDown or a compatable sand but not having much luck. CK with Home Depot and lowes no luck any suggestions on where else to look or where I could order at a fair price.
