lunare wrasse?

Okay...thinking of adding one more fish to my tank.
I have a 40 gallon with:
regular firefish
purple firefish
maroon clown
bangaii cardinal
Any thoughts or info on this wrasse? It says it's reef safe but watch with shrimp...I have shrimp, any issues or problems that anyone has had?
Or...should I leave the tank how it is so I don't get too much in there?
Thanks!

YOu absolutely, positively do not want to even consider this fish for such a small tank, let alone community fish. VERY large, VERY aggressive and also known as the "lunatic" wrasse.
Strongly discourage it, I'm afraid. Definite threat to shrimp, snails and crabs. I worked with one that made a several thousand gallon tank seem small, and that methodically ate the eyes out of any yellow tang it encountered.
Just on size alone, it is not compatible.

thank you! I was just looking through fish on the site and liked the colors....didn't look into size or anything yet (that's why I posted here! haha).
I might just stick with what I have...I think it's probably plenty. My firefish are always out in front so I see them and their color a lot.

Dear hobbyist , A lunar wrasse is definitely out of the question when it comes to fire fish . The lunar wrasse will eat your fire fish just as mine did in the past . Try a six line wrasse .Its very colorful, peaceful, and fun to watch .

i would suggest staying away from wrasses all together. even the "safe" ones can be tempermental. Even the friendly six-line is a punk to all new fish added after him.

I think I'm going to leave my tank as is...no more fish. I kinda forgot about my golden headed goby so I think I have plenty.

One thing about this site is that you get lost "window shopping" at all the cool fish! It sucks trying to figure out how to use a credit plus the minimum when I really don't need any more livestock. Guess I'll look into the inverts and corals.
