I just bought a Lyretail Anthias male and it doesn't seem to eat flakes what do you guys normally feed them? I read they eat frozen mysid. What should I feed them?

the best thing is to have a good select frozen meaty foods for your fish, try learning what it likes most, remember that anthias are planktonic eaters, but all mine eat everything. I like using Cyclop eeze, and Lance fish witch is small skinny silver sides, not the fat bigger piece's of silver sides.
everybody else that posted other types are all good

Live foods as said are best to get them excited and eating...Live worms, brine and ghost shrimp or small guppies should do the trick....after a few feedings with live them mix in some frozen untill they readily except it and then you can stop with the live stuff if you wish...I feed live stuff about once a month to my tank as a treat for them...A variety of meaty marine foods are best for Anthias. With mysis being the main staple IMO. Its worked for me. My L.A. is over 10 years in captivity so far.
