Well, what exactly is the problem? How's your water quality? Where are you treating the fish, in tank, or hospital tank? Is the popeye due to injury or infection?
Maracyn2 for SW fish is the correct antibiotic. Do you have carbon filters to remove the other med? This should be done, or large water change, or both, before re-medicating.

Thanks for the response Beth, 90 gal tank, wet dry filter, no
charcoal. Popeye showed up shortly after I did an extensive
filter cleaning. Also noticed a slight red slime algae growth after the cleaning, so I surmise this is bacterial. I am treating the fish individually in the reef tank. I stuff the silverside food with small amounts of tetracycline. He continues to eat well. I am 1 week into the treatment. I have also added nitro max and nitro marine along with my weekly water change. May have depleted the beneficial bacterias after my cleaning. Is the Maracyn2 that much better than the tc?

Well, what you are using isn't working, is it? But I have never heard of getting meds into fish via pill-stuffing.
Improved water conditions and stabilizing the tank enviroment could well turn the problem around. Are your water readings good?
What do you feed the fish?
