Macro Algae Question

I did take the damsels back to the LFS. I also added some Live Sand. I then let the tank go for about another week. Now I have a Percula Clown just to get started, along with the LR and three hermit crabs and three snails. now I was wondering what types of macro algae I might put in the tank. I have an 11,000K light running so lighting is not really an issue. I would be using them for looks and for their ability to help with water quality.

You could always add chaetomorpha to your aquarium. That looks nice. I just fragged a piece from my refuge the other day and it looks great in my display. Plus, my fish don't eat that kind of macroalgae.

What are your nitrates? Calcium? How deep is your sand bed? Is it made of CC? What kind of light is the 11,000k?
There is a huge list of great algaes
-Halimeda
-Shaving Brush
-Mermaids fan
-Caulerpa (many different species, all of which IMNSHO are AWESOME looking)
-Halymenia
-Gracileria
-"Red Grape Caulerpa"
The list goes on and on and on and on, it just depends on what you can get your hands on.

Tested today at between 0-20 PPM. The light brand is Lightning Rod. My sand bed is about 3-4 inches deep made up of LS mixed with sand.

how many watts is that lighting? Is it PC, or MH, or what?
If your lighting is good then I think you could keep most any of those plants I mentioned. You may have some problems with Halimeda, Shaving brush, and mermaids fan if you don't have high enough calcium levels.

What do those initals mean? It is a 15 watt/ 18" T6 Superlux lamp. I am not sure about the PC, MH.
I try to keep the calcium at about 400 PPM will that work?

400 might be fine
I think that the lighting is good enough for most of those plants I mentioned earlier.

The box doesn't say if it is a PC, or MH. Would this lighting be okay for an anemone as well?
