Macro for seahorses

I got a big handful of macro to put with seahorses...When I set it in the tank, it's just there..in one glob. Do I need to do anything with it, or just leave it. Seems to me if I mess with it that it will all fall apart...

I'm in the process of adding macroalgae to my horse tank right now.... I've got four or five plants in there and have a few more waiting to be placed.
I wasn't sure this was going to work but I took others' advice and Super-Glued the plants to rocks. So far - so good!
