My 105MM macro lens just arrived. This is a lens thats going to take some getting used too...Not like you can just mount it on the camera and start cliking off great shots
I just took about 200 pics and these are the only ones that seem to be ok, I'm starting to get really picky...LOL, great a new obsession....

Thank you....
This is an Acan Lord that I fragged about 3 weeks ago, Still have about 60 more polyps to frag on this one

This is part of my "doctor" micromussa collection. I just fragged some Eden and Tangerine Micro's, Pretty tough to frag when your trying to get single polyps, some of these were actually half polyps and they healed within 2 weeks, amazingly tough corals. These are my favorite corals, I love colorful micros, just can't afford to own very many of them...

I'll trade for doctor stuff any day of the week! I have about 10 frags each of Eden and Tangerine, most now have 2-4 polyps, let me know what you have and we can trade

These are the mother colonies, I cut about half the colony away to make the frags

FYI There is no such thing as a Macro zoom lens. If your going to get a macro lens don't get anything under 100mm or the focal distance will be way to close for you to get pictures in your tank, glass will get in the way as you will have to get really closeup on the corals in order to focus

Always happens.
I looked at the D40 but ended up going with the D80.
I remembered everything I have ever done and how many times I have upgraded when I could have saved a lot by just buying it up front.
I have the 24-105 lens for my D80 and love it.
Don't skimp on flash.
Get the SB800.
Well worth the extra money over the 600.
Then order the Gary Fong diffuser, either the dome or the whale.
You will shoot like a pro.
You have great shots there but with the lighting I am telling you about, it will add "umphfff" to your shots.
