macro mode on camera?

ive heard lots of people refer to this wen talking bout their cameras, so wat exactly is macro mode? if it helps take better pics, then i hope my cam has it. it has a little wheel on the top that u spin to change the modes, the only ones i can figure out r off, export pictures, view pictures, and camera mode. camera mode has a little picture of a camera next to it. there is another litle picture of a camera on the wheel with a big M next to it. could this be macro mode?

What camera is it? Digital? It probably has macro mode, most do. Macro is used to take close up pictures. I think mine takes pics in macro mode between a distance of 2cm to 17cm away from the object.

Dfish - Are you looking to take close-ups of your fish and have them be in focus?? On my digital camera there is a button that I can press to choose they types of pic's I am taking. One shows a pic of a flower (I think that is macro mode?), i.e., because you have to get close to take a flower pic.
