Macroalgae of the moment: codium intricatum

I have some codium that appears to have a clove polyp on it. I have only noticed this today. Will both be ok or does the polyp need or can be moved.

I have zoas growiing on some eventually the codium will surround the coral blocking out light, if you keep it trimmed back so it doesnt the coral will be fine.
