Made the Switch -- Sand Storm

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I dont know if I missed it somewhere. When can you put the fish & inverts back in after you change the sand?

I don't know if its right or not, get more opinions from here, but I did it all within a couple of hours. I took everything out, made the switch and put everything back in. I did the switch Sunday and today everything's fine.

I just went and took out 1/2 cup of CC off the top, just to kinda get rid of the greenish pieces. I didn't finish...I had only started... But in only 2 scoops (with a plastic spoon) I got TWO brittle stars!!! They were VERY tiny, and they made themseves into a ball and fell through the holes in the bottum of the spoon. But if I had two in that small amount of gravel, goodness, I hate to see what's in the rest. Any suggestions as to how I can save these critters if I ...when I do do my water change?? Yeah, I said do do.

I used a turkey baster to get the pods ect and then I went though every inch of my old sand and rinced it so every fell to the bottom of a 30 quart container. Most things fell to the buttom and I simple scoopped them up and put them in my tank.
