From CC to LS this weekend. I have a 55 gal. I took all the water out into new clean containers, removed all the LR and live stock. shop vacked the CC out, put in the LS and replaced the LR and live stock. All in all it took about three hours. Everything survived and my tank looks much better. I also checked and my nitrates are lower already.

I never had CC, but I'm sure you'll love the LS. What type of sand bed did you go for (how many inches)?

I did a shallow sand bed, 1-1.5 inches.
