Mag drive 700 pump

im using a mag 7 in my sump... the are great pumps.. i know some people had have some probs with the older versions of the mag 7, but ive haad mine for about 4-5 months without any probs

Running 2 Mag 7's, 1 Mag 5 and 1 Mag 2 all external and all working great. Although they are fairly new, less than 1 month of 24/7 operation, they seem to be working great, bit on the hot side since they are external. I wish they were a bit quieter but since I have nothing to compare them to, I really don't know how they rank on the noise scale :)

I too have have a Mag7
I run it along with a Mag9.5
The Mag9.5 comes on and off every 3 hours - timer.
The Mag7 runs 24/7 BUT I do turn it off twice each day manually.
No problems so far - been running this combo since the first of March - this year.

I turn it off when doing morning/evening top offs ( and ) when feeding, but I don't feed the tank everyday ;)
