mag drive pump question

I have heard people rave about mag 5 & 7's but never heard anything about the smaller mags. I was wanting to set up a ten gal refugium for my 28 gal tank and wanted the flow to be around 200 gph. Would the mag 3 be a safe choice or should I get a mag 5 and put a ball valve on it,

I HAVE A FEW MAG-DRIVES INCLUDING A M/D#2....250 GPH....
THEY ARE ALL GOOD AND VERY QUIET.....VERY RELIABLE...
HIGHLY RECOMMEND....QUALITY PRODUCT....

One of the reasons why people normally get 5's or 7's is because the some of the smaller models of the mag are more expensive, so they just buy other pumps instead.
