Mag float scratches

Has anyone ever had their Mag Float cleaning magnet scratch the glass?
I do not get it in the substrate and I have looked closly at the velcro like material and it looks normal. I have had the magnet for about a year and just recently I have noticed these fine scratches in my glass. (Oceanic RR tank).
Anyone with scratch problems related to Mag Floats?
Maybe it is worn out and I just need a new one.

Wow, the box to reply is so tiny! Anyway, I've had the same problem with my magfloat, although mine is much newer. I assumed the scratches were just because of my acrylic tank. If your having the same problem with glass, then maybe the abrasive part of the magnet is a little too abrasive. The scratches caused my cleaner are part of the reason I'm trying to get a glass tank for my next tank. Now I'm not so sure.

I have done it in the past but it was because I got some sand or such under it. Now I am pretty careful to keep both side of it clean and use a toothbrush to scrub free any debris on it before using it. (And no not my toothbrush, I use my wife's.)
